will begin at 12:10 p.m. and adjourn no later than

•Kim Williams encourages faculty participation at Exhibition Openings and Public Events.
•She says there was a poor faculty turn-out for the Horn Island opening.
•Kim says it helps to have faculty around donors and prospective donors.

6) Inaugural Reception

7) Presidential Inauguration
Tuesday, October 4
•Line up for faculty at 10:00 a.m.
•Robing room and line up point is the Executive Conference

•All faculty must wear academic regalia!!!
•Inauguration Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.
•Levitt Shell
ALL morning classes are officially cancelled. Please DO NOT hold class. Invite your students to the Inauguration. Afternoon and evening classes will take place as scheduled.
Faculty participation is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Please encourage part time faculty to participate if they can.

8) Elizabeth Brown Needs Your Input!
•Elizabeth is helping to run a panel about reviewing portfolios at National Portfolio Day Events for all MCA faculty (new and old) who would like more information/help/a refresher on how to do it.
•Her portion of the panel will deal specifically with the types of questions/concerns that new faculty have when doing their first few NPDA events.
•If you have suggestions about what should be covered at this meeting, or any other specific questions that you would like answered, e-mail this information to Elizabeth ASAP: ebrown@mca.edu
9) Recruiting Events
•All full-time faculty should be receiving their admissions/recruiting event assignments this week.
•If you do not receive your events by Friday, September 16, please contact Annette Moore.
10) Travel Fund Requests
•All requests for travel money for the entire 2011-2012 academic year should be submitted to Ken Strickland ASAP.
•Budget is tight, the longer you wait, the less likely it will be that you get any money.
11) Enrichment Grant Application Deadline
•Application deadline for Faculty Enrichment funds is December 15, 2011.
•Please direct questions to Ken Strickland.
