Kim Williams encourages faculty participation at Exhibition Openings and Public Events.

•She says there was a poor faculty turnout for the Horn Island opening.

•Kim says it helps to have faculty around donors and prospective donors.

7) Presidential Inauguration
Tuesday, October 4
•Line up for faculty at 10:00 a.m.
•Robing room and line up point is the Executive Conference
            Room/Alumni Gallery
•All faculty must wear academic regalia!!!

•Inauguration Ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.
•Levitt Shell

ALL morning classes are officially cancelled. Please DO NOT hold class. Invite your students to the Inauguration. Afternoon and evening classes will take place as scheduled.

Faculty participation is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Please encourage part time faculty to participate if they can.

Please encourage your students to attend. The administration would like a strong student presence.

8) Mid-term Grading Deadlines
•The Fall 2011 Mid-term grading period is October 10 - 14.

•Mid-term grades will be due on Friday, October 14th, at noon.

•Grade sheets will be in your campus mailboxes no later than Friday, October 7.


9) New Library Catalog

The library has a new catalog! Located here: http://mca.kohalibrary.com  In the new catalog, you may create course reserves, patrons will be able to renew books themselves, and you may 'browse' the library shelves from the catalog.  If you are interested in creating course reserves in the catalog you can just send me a list of what you'd like on reserve for each course. Please include course name/number in your information. To see an example click on Course Reserves from the main page of the catalog.  Currently I can only put items already in the catalog on reserve.  There will also be a designation for the MCA Main library and the Art Ed Resource Center to make it easier to locate items. Anyone interested in their login information can contact me at lholland@mca.edu

13) Enrichment Grant Application Deadline
·      Application deadline for Faculty Enrichment funds is December 15, 2011.

14) Announcement for all Faculty Teaching in Myers, Callicott,
DA Media, and LS Classroom

·      When you leave your class all media equipment including computers, cords, and adaptors should be locked in their respective cupboards or closets.

·      All projectors must be turned OFF.

·      The doors to Myers and D.A. Media must be locked.
